Have you heard of Italy being amazingly blessed with heavenly food with recipes that are to die for? At least I know I have. I was recently invited to a food review as in Spasso Milano Italian Restaurant as they were launching their new antipasti menu. Spasso Milano is a fairly new restaurant in Kuala Lumpur that serves a wide variety of Italian food, from starters such a garlic bread and steaming fresh soup, to mouth watering main courses, and to top it all, desserts that a simply satisfying. To pair up amazing dishes are fine quality wine that would just naturally bring out a smile.
Spasso Milano is located in Nihonkan Club, on the first floor.
To make it easier for the guest, Nihonkan Club provides parking spots and valet parking. As for those who uses public transports, there is a bus station near by and it is also close to the Putra LRT Station.

Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by Adrian Phung, Public Relation Executive of Orchan Consulting Asia Sdn. Bhd. We were seated down at a really comfortable table by the blinds. I have to admit, the place was really comfortable to have a meal and I will give credit for a lovely service by the waiters and waitresses there. We started off with the antipasti buffet and I managed to try any different dishes that I have not even heard off before.

Dishes at the antipasti buffet table. Plus two different types of soup and desserts.
Not only we had the buffet, we enjoyed a few main course from the menu as well.

Tiger Prawn and Asparagus Risotto - RM38

Grilled Filet of Salmon, Lemon Butter Sauce and Herbed Potatoes - RM42
Braised lamb shank, served on soft Polenta - RM52
Assorted Mushroom & Black Truffle Risotto - RM38.80
Australian Wagyu Rib Eye in aromatic Herbs Crust - RM98
I've always wanted to try the Wagyu Beef, and I did. Enjoyed the tenderness at each bite.
Dessert Moulton Chocolate Lava served with Vanilla Ice-cream - RM18.80
I also ordered the Chocolate Molten as dessert. I have to say, it wasn't as exploding (melted chocolate inside) as how others would serve it, but it was simple a taste of perfection. It was rich with chocolate inside, chewy on the outside, just thinking back about it makes me crave for more.
The best Chocolate Molten I've tasted.

Ricotta Cheese Tart with Raisins and Lemon - RM 21
3 shots of alcoholic Vodka Lime, Vodka Orange and Rum Apple
Whats a meal without drinks. We ordered a glass of white wine, a glass of red wine, and ended it with the 3 shots above. I didn't really enjoy all the shots I must say, I only enjoyed the apple rum.
It was an honour for the chef to take us behind the scenes as well. We managed to take a look behind the kitchen area.
Well, to be frank, I didn't like the idea of them needing us to give them time to clean up before entering the kitchen. Firstly, shouldn't it be clean at all times already? Secondly, if its messy, I doubt we would mind, as long as its clean right? Ahhh, we should give a surprise visit sometime soon.
Chef holding onto the pizza stand at the charcoal oven.
I have to give credit to the chef that actually made this pizza (not the chef in the picture, he was merely just holding it). I was fascinated with the way the chef was making the pizza, it was so swift, and fast with everything, its like he's been doing it his whole life. The melting cheese on it made me wanna bite onto the pizza freshly out of the oven.
TADDDAAAA, was made in less than 10 minutes!
A bar

So whats the deal now? trust me when I say its worth it.
