Global Smurf Day

Don't you just get one of those days where you're really absolutely tired for no reason. Days where you just want to laze around doing nothing because stoning on the bed for the whole day might just be the most exciting thing to do. Haha, ok, probably not the most exciting, but yes, I'm feeling like a sloth that just ate a cow now, although I only had half a burger for dinner. I'm losing my appetite, good and bad in a way I guess.

Lets go jockingly random before I start blogging about what I'm suppose to blog about. I guess this is what happens when you lay down on the bed for a few hours not doing anything.. the brains just won't give it a rest. So, here goes.

.I wonder if I would die if a bug went in my ear.

.If I were to become a mermaid, I want pink seashells and tail, oh, and I want to smell like white musk.

.I think white musk is scarily addictive.

.I don't eat sharks fin, not because it doesn't taste good, but because I think its cruel.

.I would NEVER NEVER NEVER EAT whale/dolphin meat, and if anyone ever tricks me into eating it, I swear I would get so god damn angry, I'd turn lovely to bitchy in flat 3 seconds. I'd probably go vegetarian for a year.

.I wonder what I would look like if I have 3 eyes, or 2 mouths.

.I think people with green eyes are... fascinating, in an alien kind of way hahahahha.

.I hate BLACK LABEL, it taste like cockroach.

.I am terrified of cockroaches, don't understand why they even exist. All roaches should be banish from the surface of the earth. Turn them into butterflies or marshmallows.

.I enjoy looking at lights, thats why I really am interested in light painting, I'd feel totally jakun.

.I'm scared of clowns.

.I personally think that mosquitoes look like blood sucking monkeys from up close. scary right?.

.Hugs from the back sends tingles down my spine, well, unless its from someone you don't like, I'd probably turn around and shove him away, hahaha.

.I've been chased around by a duck before, they're scary.

.I see people complaining about how unlucky they are and nonsense along those lines, it irritates me because they dont see how much worst life can get. Hmmm, I'm lucky to have my family and that handful of friends that means the world to me.

Anyways, anyone ever heard of the Global Smurf Day? I sure have not until I was invited by NUFFNANG to attend The Global Smurf Day Event on the 25th June 2011, hosted by Sony Pictures Malaysia at Ikano Power Centre (IPC Mall) which simultaneously was on going with the 2011 Movie Carnival Event. Who doesn't like THE SMURFS RIGHT?? I can still remember the song to it.

"la la la, welcome to Smurfy Land, welcome everyone, to the land of happiness. tum tum tum tum tum..."

Ok, maybe I don't remember all, but who cares, Smurfs are coming to the cinemas soon.

 Little Smurf Figurines were decorated all over the event compound that afternoon. 

Upon launching the Global Smurf Day Event, Carmen Phua, Marketing Manager of Sony Pictures Releasing International Malaysia gave a short speech as she introduced a few of the smurf characters to the crowd, Papa Smurf, Clumsy and Smurfette. Not only did she do the introductions to the characters, Carmen also spoke about a contest where you are entitled to run for a 46" Sony Bravia LCD TV in the Smurf-O-Graphy contest. Contest dates starts on the 7th June 2011 till the 19th June 2011. Sweet and simple, 

all you have to do is submit a photo with a slogan 

"Why would you like to watch The Smurfs in cinemas" 

and send via email 

with the title of 

"Smurf-O-Graphy Contest" 

to

Whats an event without simple refreshments right?

 Cupcakes anyone?

 

I was able to smell the SWEETNESS of the cupcakes from a few feet away from the table. No joke.

It was lovely to know that they've gotten ready such gorgeous looking cupcakes for us bloggers and members of the media. Its not easy effort to get ready this many cupcakes with so defined details. So to whoever who baked it, here are my thank yous.

I went with Sherry on that day. It was rather funny because I left the house wearing bright red, and when Sherry got into the car, she said, "CARMEN, THE COLOUR THEME IS BLUE", and I went, "WTF, how in the world did I forget?!!" Oh well, I went home to change after that. And Oh, lucky us, the media press took pictures of Sherry and I during that event and it got publish in the newspapers the very next day.

I'm a total banana, so I dont know what they said, but oh well. Happy Happy Joy Joy.
