Mambo Italiano, A Taste Of Italy at Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur

Bruschetta, Michetta, Lasagne, linguine, Lumache, Carbonara, tortellini, risotto, gelato,panna cotta, zabaione. Che cosa esattamente viene in mente quando sentiamo i piattidel genere? FOOD ITALIANO. Piatti gustosi e che non manca mai a soddisfare quellebrama.

It cannot be denied that Italy is appreciated as the country that has one of the most finest dishes, satisfying recipes, and not to mention chefs that are able to whip up a meal to grant your tongue's desire, and leave you wanting for more. And speaking of Chefs, I feel absolutely honoured to be able to experience the fine dishes by Chef Fabrizio not long ago.


After attending the spectacular Vietnamese food demonstration event at Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur, we now return for another amazing event that featured Chef Fabrizio. Standing in our presence, Chef Fabriozio, the master of contemporary Italian Cuisine, from kitchens of Prego, at The Westin Beijing Financial Street, was there to introduce to us a variety of Italian Dishes at the Favola Italian Restaurant, Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur.

Lovely Executive Chef Antoine was there at the event, and again, did he make the day much brighter with his presence. A chef with a sense of humour and great hospitality engraves a memory in us, not only through his delicious dishes, but the chef as a whole.

The cooking demonstration went on really smooth, and not long after arrival, the first dish was good to go.

Eggplant Millefeuille, Fresh Goat Cheese and Basil

I am an eggplant lover, and having a taste of eggplant through an Italian Recipe was rather amazing. This dish was not as complicated as I thought it would be. With the final touch of fresh goat cheese and a crisp at the top, to compliment the soft bottom (sliced eggplants and tomatoes), made the dish, as the Italians call it - Perfetto

Second Dish
 Spaghetti, Astice e Pesto di Erbe Fresche
Spaghetti, Maine Lobster and Fresh Spring Herd Pesto

Watching Chef Fabrizio at work with this dish was simply mouth watering. The aroma that was spreading around the restaurant was enough to create a sense of hunger in us. Spaghetti with a right amount of sauce to compliment the fresh lobster that was being served was just well done. It is definitely worth trying again.

Third Dish
 
Risotto allo Zafferano, Fritto di Pesce eSalsa di Peperoni Rossi
Saffron Risotto, Crispy Seafood and Red Capsicum Risotto

How about a Rissotto dish for the final touch? I have tried risottos from a hand full amount of places but not one place I can think of can even be brought on par with the risotto dish that was cooked by Chef Fabrizio. The amount of Risotto served was just right, big enough portion to satisfy, small enough portion to still want more. Like what Edwin always says, "Satisfaction is a death of desire"

and rest assured, I thought, loved and slept well that day.

 
 Came along with such lovely dishes was an environment so glamorous that made everything so comfortable to the point that I have to say, "It really does feel like I was in Italy".

 Chandeliers not only gives out light, it also always brings along a spark of class with them

After Chef Fabrizio was done with all the dishes, we were served with a buffet styled like refreshments. Food served was fresh, still hot from the oven and enough for everyone of us to enjoy the meal.
