Enjoy doing your nails? Enjoy trying out new designs? But always having a problem with steady hands?
How about a new technique. Haha, I recently found out about this new technique and I'm honestly quite amazed by it. What is it exactly? SIMPLE, its just newspaper printing nail designs.
Some what like the picture above
(its a little messy, first attempt, experimenting around with it)
Things you need
- Nail colours, base coat, and top coat
- Newspaper cuttings
- A bowl of VODKA, yes VODKA.
STEPS
- Base coat your nails as usual.
- Paint on your base colour, and have it thick. At least 2 layers. (I didn't do a base colour when I tried it, but I do suggest a bright base colour to see the contrast. And no, don't keep the base transparent, it would like a nails look dirty)
- Prepare a bowl of alcohol, best to be VODKA. (like picture above).
- Dip fingernail in alcohol, and make sure your whole nail is wet.
- Take a strip of newspaper (with words you want), press it against your nails, hold it on for 30 seconds.
- Pull it off, and WALAAAAA.... you have newspaper printings on your nails!
- Then of course top coat it

Ahhhh, i don't know why I never thought of this before. I think its so simple, so nicely done, and saves so much time!!! Good luck trying this, it'll be fun.

it's so interesting somehow. but i thought the newspaper will stick over the nail polish.
haha, it didn't stick on mine, I think its cause of the vodka. =D

meichi - I think the vodka's the one that prints the printings from the newspaper to the nails and makes it stay.
