Cocktail Tasting @G-Tower, View Rooftop Bar

What's more beautiful than having a glass of alcohol to sooth the throat, at a rooftop with a breath taking view?

 Beautiful isn't it?

Yeah, as small as Malaysia is, we are able to check out beautiful sights as such from time to time. Places like Jalan Gasing (do you know there are fireflies up there, and if you're lucky you can see quite a number of them, I got lucky), lookout point (which is quite "the yesterday" news, its not even cold up there anymore). I was recently invited to a cocktail tasting event at G-Tower, @Rooftop Bar by Mr. Elwyn.

It was really nice to catch up with some of the bloggers again. Its been a while since we met up and meeting up at such a classy and elegant environment was perfect. I arrived at the event later than I should have, so many finger food that was served was almost all gone. Even the macarons was gone. Nonetheless, I got to try some of the light snacks, and it was pretty bland, nothing unique or special. But we're here for the cocktail right?

Bartenders started to whip up some cocktails which contains mostly absolute vodka. It really does fascinate me when they drink is created, especially when they have really different mixtures in them. Mixtures that you never thought could actually go well with a drink. Then again, personal preference is still the root of it all. Some may like, some may not.

The six different cocktails for the night

 Absolut Pineapple Cardamon Martini

  Absolut Strawberry Basil Smash

Had a sip of this from Elwyn's glass. It was alright for me, pretty sweet. But Elwyn and Edwin didn't really like this drink. Oh well

 Absolut Cinnamon Martini

 Absolut Passion Tini

 Absolut Apple Rosemary Martini

-I tried this. I personally have always liked the smell of the rosemary. The drink smelt really good, however the vodka taste was pretty strong. Overpowered the apple flavour. Nonetheless, it was a good drink.

Absolut South Beach

I did not try all the cocktails, but many of us had rounds of shots, again and again and again. What shots? haha, pure absolut. The bartenders were really friendly that night, I enjoyed they way they served us. Good speaking english as well. Thats always the core. Many of us were asking for more and more lemons. Ahh, the shots were just pure torture without the lemons.

Group shot. Downing it.

We left the place early. Yes like what Elwyn says, "You come late, go home early, cannot lar" haha, sorry. I had something on after that (next post, anticipate lights). Nonetheless, I had load of fun catching up with some of them. It was nice seeing Yeeing, Jiayeen, both Henrys, Suresh, Iris, Tony, Isaac and Janice, Mister Elwyn, Bernard and Evelyn, Shannon, Jackie, Ken, Mel, Kian Fai and a few others. Got to meet a few new people as well, Joshua and Andrew. I'll organise a gathering soon, as promised.
