Epicure Day 2

As most know, Epicure Malaysia 2011, Malaysia's Leading Lifestyle Fair went on for 3 consecutive days, from the 16th September till the 18th September at the Sime Darby Convention Centre in Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur. I recently wrote a post on the exhibition that was held in Epicure; Epicure Exhibition, and how wonderfully well it went. Besides having the successful exhibition, the main attention from the crowd would be the cooking classes conducted by many well known Master Chefs from many remarkable hotels.

The event started at 10.30 in the morning and they had on going classes till 7 pm. I did not attend all the classes because many classes were going on simultaneously. I would only be writing on classes I found really interesting.
Mr. Thomas Ling
The Bordeaux Experience

There were three different red wines and one white wine for tasting. Of course it was all wine from Bordeaux. Honestly, this workshop was very much like a history class to me. On the other hand, the wine was alright. Not bad, but nothing special. I remember it having a very smokey BBQ like smell during the after taste.

Chef Daniel Sheen
Continental Cuisine

Chef Daniel, was by far one of the most entertaining chef I've met. Australian Master Chef Daniel brings you the best of French nouvelle cuisine. With skill obtained at award winning restaurants, is currently offering his skills to The Olive, Maxims Genting Highlands.

Master Chef Daniel doing what he does best with his assistant.

Like I said, he kept his crowd interested. Not only about his cooking, but also his journey to this very day.

Volunteers?

Final touch.
Simply Delicious.

Chef Nathelie Arbefeuille

Pat Calzadilla
Let's Salsa

Ahh, did I forget to mention there were other interesting workshops besides cooking? There were even workshops that covers lifestyle related subjects conducted by experts in their own field. From health related workshops conducted by Dr.'s from varies hospitals to Professor's that are experts in Feng Shui, or even on Recreational Scuba Dining in Malaysia. The workshop that I was really excited to attend was the Salsa Workshop that was conducted by Pat Calzadilla.

Husband and Wife having a whole lot of fun?
There were a few other couples there as well. I had my fun here.

All in all, I absolutely miss dancing salsa. Reminded me of my college days.
